What help is available when I'm finding work difficult?

Work can feel much harder when symptoms affects your energy or ability to keep up with usual routines. Support is often easier to access when your needs are recognised and understood by the people around you.

"I was a student veterinary nurse working long, irregular shifts in a high‑stress hospital environment. I was tired, stressed, and not eating properly. I spoke to my managers about what might help, but I realised that the lack of routine and constant stress weren’t supporting my health. Changing to a job with more predictable hours helped me calm my nervous system and focus on medication, diet, sleep, and routines, as well as returning to things I enjoyed."
